WiTricity AI Tech, LLC, a leader in wireless power transfer solutions for electric vehicles, today announced the launch of the MR/1™ 600-watt Wireless Charging System, a new addition to its golf-cart charging lineup designed to make wireless charging more accessible for courses, communities, and fleet operators.
The MR/1 600W system builds on the proven foundation of WiTricity’s MR/1 900W wireless charger, delivering the same convenience, safety, and reliability — with a lower power output optimized for smaller fleets and cost-sensitive installations.
By reducing power by approximately one-third compared to the 900-watt system, the MR/1 600W maintains efficient, unattended charging performance while offering a more economical solution. Charging times remain fast and practical for daily golf-cart operations, though slightly longer than those of the higher-power commercial system.
Just as significantly, WiTricity AI Tech has reduced the price by 50%, making the MR/1 600W available at $1,625.00, opening the door for broader adoption of wireless charging technology across the golf industry.
“The MR/1 600W gives customers a clear choice,” said Joe Benz, CEO of WiTricity AI Tech. “For high-duty commercial fleets, the 900-watt system remains the fastest option. For courses and communities that want the benefits of wireless charging at a lower entry cost, the 600-watt system delivers an excellent balance of performance, simplicity, and value.”
Like the MR/1 900W, the new 600W system eliminates exposed contacts and cables, reducing maintenance, improving reliability, and enabling fully autonomous charging. Carts simply park over the charging pad, allowing energy transfer to begin automatically without user interaction.
The MR/1 600W Wireless Charging System is available immediately and is compatible with a wide range of golf carts and light electric vehicles.
